And the rest

Real products or your own mix

Map the plan onto gels, chews and drink mixes you can actually buy, or build your own malto and fructose bottle.

Built around your gut

Tell it what you're used to taking per hour and it caps the plan there, with steps to train your gut up over time.

Plans are worked out and stored on your phone. Only the weather lookup uses the internet. No account.

Why I built it

"60 g/h carbs. Need more."

That's what I wrote in my notes after a long race. I knew I was under fueling, but every calculator I tried gave me one number with no reasoning, or wanted me to sign up. I wanted something that shows its work, knows the race day weather and tells me exactly how many gels go in my back pocket.

Questions

How many carbs per hour do I need in a marathon, long ride or triathlon?

For efforts over about two and a half hours, most current guidance lands between 60 and 90 grams of carbs per hour, and trained athletes often go higher by mixing glucose and fructose. Your number depends on duration, intensity and what your gut is used to. Fuel Perfect works it out from those and shows the studies it used.

How much sodium should I take during a race?

It depends a lot on how much you sweat, how salty your sweat is and how hot it is. Pick a rough sweat profile or enter your numbers from a sweat test, and Fuel Perfect adjusts for the forecast at your race.

Which sports does it work for?

Running, cycling, gravel, triathlon, and trail or ultra events, plus long training sessions in any of them.

Do I need an account or a subscription?

No. You buy it once. There's no account, no ads and no tracking.

Is this medical advice?

No. It's a planning tool based on published sports nutrition research. Try any plan in training before race day, and talk to a doctor if you have a medical condition.
